Earlier this week, Dreaming Tree wines toasted the arrival of its newest offering, a 2015 Sauvignon Blanc at the New York Marble Cemetery garden on June 20. Created by world-renowned musician Dave Matthews and award-winning winemaker Sean McKenzie, Dreaming Tree is a collection of approachable, food-friendly wines. The new Sauvignon Blanc is described as fresh and juicy with tropical fruit aromas and flavors of grapefruit and lime.
McKenzie invited guests to taste through the summer white wine along with the rest of the Dreaming Tree portfolio. The event paired select wines with a collection of dishes created by Fiona Bohane, head chef for Dave Matthews Band. Her “Recipes from the Road” featured foods inspired by the cities visited on tour with the band, including a grilled halloumi with strawberries, zucchini caprese with tomato vinaigrette, Mediterranean chickpea cakes, steak with braised white beans and pulled chicken with blackberry BBQ sauce.
