Love strawberries? Then you’ll love this fruity muddled cocktail made with Prosecco and simple syrup. This refreshing mixed drink is a surefire summertime winner.
Muddled Strawberry And Prosecco Cocktail
For the simple syrup:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
For the cocktail
1 1/2 cups chopped hulled strawberries
6 thin lemon slices
Ice cubes
1 750-ml bottle chilled Bivio Prosecco Brut
Glass: 6- to 8-oz glass
Directions:
For the simple syrup:
Stir sugar and 1/2 cup water in heavy small saucepan over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and bring to boil. Cool syrup.
For the cocktail
For each glass serving, add 1/4 of strawberries and one tablespoon syrup and mash with muddler or handle of wooden spoon. Next mash slice of lemon in each glass to release flavor, add ice cubes and top off with chilled Prosecco.
