Tap+Cork is bringing the 1st Annual Brooklyn Beer & Wine Festival to Bed-Stuy on Sunday, August 18. The kick-off event is expected to attract more than 1,000 festival-goers who will sip and sample their way through the day-long event hosted at the historic Lab.
Beer and wine newbies and connoisseurs will be treated to award-winning tastings of craft beers, regional wineries and local artisan spirits, along with brewing workshops, food from local eateries and live music performances. In addition, DJ CEO, from Fuse TV’s “United States of Hip-Hop,” has been tapped as the official festival deejay.
Presenting sponsors Bed-Vyne Wine & Bed-Vyne Brew are particularly excited to bring this type of event to the Brooklyn neighborhood.
“As owners of our own wine and craft beer shops in Bed-Stuy, Bed-Vyne is proud to be part of the Brooklyn Beer & Wine Fest,” said co-owner Rotimi Akinnuoye. “Often we have to journey outside of this culturally rich neighborhood to expand our palates. We strive to bring new and unique experiences to our customers, so what better to do that than with a festival in our backyard.”
The event is also an official part of the annual Soul of Brooklyn week.
